Paper serves as an artistic surface, medium and inspiration at the biennial Hazelhurst Art on Paper Award.  Founded in 2001, the Award invites artists nationwide to submit works with, on or about paper. 

Australian-Vietnamese visual artist Serena Pham describes herself as a recovering perfectionist. Over the past two years, Pham has built a creative process driven by intuition and experimentation. The result is a body of work that renders familiar scenes in bold impressionist and expressionist brushstrokes. Each painting presents a unique interpretation of the physical world and the emotional realities that mark our connection to it. 

At the intersection of Percival Road and Myrtle Street in Stanmore, the Corner Gallery has been transformed into a delightful display of birdlife for ‘Joy’, a Bird Week exhibition. 

Surrounded by idyllic waterfront views, Sydney’s Inner West suburb of Drummoyne is perhaps better known for The Bay Run than its local art scene.  A stroll down Lyons Road in early October however revealed the annual Drummoyne Art Society's Members' Art Awards Exhibition at Civic Hall. 

Under the glittering chandeliers of Sydney’s Town Hall, over 75 local artists, artisans, makers and designers set up shop for the day as part of the annual Sydney Made Art & Design Market.

A prestigious art award, a prize pool of more than $60,000 and - a ghost? Named after the legendary ghost of once Campbelltown local, Frederick Fisher, the Fisher’s Ghost Art Award is a pivotal part of the Campbelltown Art Centre’s artistic program.
