Under the glittering chandeliers of Sydney’s Town Hall, over 75 local artists, artisans, makers and designers set up shop for the day as part of the annual Sydney Made Art & Design Market.

As visitors wandered through the aisles of stalls to live acoustic music, they were afforded the unique opportunity to connect face-to-face with their favourite local creative small businesses.
Among them, Angela Robertson-Buchanan’s (The Bird Photographer) booth featured playful closeup shots of birds from every angle. Also borrowing from nature, Denise McDonald’s (DM Pottery) table was set with botanical patterned pottery in earthy hues while Makai Australia’s jewellery reflected the ever-changing moods of the sea.
Beyond jewellery, ceramics and photography, locally made homewares, fashion, gourmet food, skincare and art was also on offer.
Sydney Made, the not-for-profit, volunteer run organisation behind the markets, aims to support local creatives through a variety of initiatives. With a decade’s worth of markets under their belt, the organisation also helps build members' businesses by promoting their work on social media and hosting seminars and workshops.
